Media and Telecoms

The Group is now present in free press, digital media, market research and cinema and television logistics, and in the telecoms sector with 4G licenses covering the whole of France and with the Internet access provider, Wifirst.

Direct Matin
The free daily newspaper, Direct Matin, was launched in February 2007, in partnership
with the regional daily press of the Ville Plus network. It is distributed in the main French cities and in 200 municipalities.  It now has 2.5 million readers per issue and more than 900,000 copies are distributed every day, including its regional editions (Paris/Greater Paris region, Montpellier, Lyon, Marseille/Aix-en-Provence, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Lille, Nantes, Toulouse, Rennes, Nice). It is also present in the digital world with its website DirectMatin.fr and its mobile apps for smartphones and tablets.

Telecoms
Bolloré Télécoms is an operator holding 3.5 GHz licenses throughout France, and is closely involved with the work of the international harmonization and standardization bodies and, in respect, is working on the development of 4G technologies in that frequency band. 

The Wifirst subsidiary is an Internet access provider specialized in the deployment of
internet networks in collective accommodation. Wifirst equips 280,000 student rooms in France, and it also offers its services to care homes, hotels and hostels where it provides Wi-Fi connectivity for a further 180,000 rooms.
In 2015, Wifirst experienced significant growth in a new service segment when it was awarded the La Poste tender to deploy Wi-Fi solutions for post office customers and personnel.

Other activites
The Group is also present in the movie industry with a 10% interest in Gaumont, one of the leading European players in the sector, which owns one-third of the national network of EuroPalaces cinemas and operates a sizable catalog of feature-length films. Moreover, the Bolloré Group also runs the Mac-Mahon cinema, one of the premier venues for movie enthusiasts in France.

In the video games segment, the Bolloré Group has a sharehoding of around 22% in Bigben Interactive, the leading European distributor of games and gaming accessories.
