Set up in June 1998 by Vincent Bolloré, its President, the Fondation de la 2e Chance is strate-approved in February 2006. It aims to support people aged 18-62 years who face trials of various origins, often heavy, almost always cumulative - long-term unemployment, late fees, RSA, debt, housing, disability or accident health, emotional break - intend to carry a rebound of life that can be either a creation or small business recovery or retraining qualification to reintegrate into the workforce.
The "boost second chance" results in a financial support and a sponsorship.
The Fondation de la 2ème Chancehas over 100 partners (large private companies, public and financial institutions). It boasts from more than 60 locations in France.

In 2015, the Foundation continued to support 418 new candidates. 79% of candidates were helped with training and 21% to create a business. Winners aged between 26 and 40 years old represent 47% of the projects supported.
